CANDICE J. KUNDERT is an independent clinical social worker in private practice providing short-termed, solution focused psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults and families.  She does play therapy with children ages 3-10.  She work with divorce and blended family issues, gay and lesbian issues, women's issues and adoption and reactive attachment disorder.  Candice has extensive training and work with trauma recovery and healing for child and adult sexual abuse survivors and post traumatic stress disorder.  She also works  with depression, anxiety, anger management, stress reductions, eating disorders, life adjustment and family issues.  Candice  specializes in childhood difficulties with school and family, including attention deficit disorder, oppositional defiant disorder and separation anxiety and school phobias.   She is a contract provider of employee assistance programs, facilitates therapy groups for children and adults.  She also does Life Coaching which is different from therapy and concentrates on growth, potential, finding your passion and setting and meeting goals.  She has supervised therapists to become licensed, provide training and workshops in play therapy, women's retreats and school therapy.
Candice is a celebrant or Healing Minister with the Universalist Church and perform wedding ceremonies written in any way you wish and also commitment ceremonies.

University of Iowa Practicum Student, Willa Drake who is working under my supervision this year.  She is working on a diversity education project for children, equine therapy for children and learning about holistic services and how well they mesh with traditional therapy.  We are happy to have her at The Healing Heart Center.

MICHELLE KELLEY  received her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at Western IL. University in 2000 and has 15 years of experience and training as a play therapist, substance abuse counselor, couples counselor, and family therapist.  She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Iowa and Illinois.  She is also a Registered Play Therapist (R.P.T.) and has extensive training in child therapy techniques.

She has therapeutic experience and training in healing depression, anxiety, P.T.S.D, childhood and adolescent issues, substance dependency, women’s issues, domestic violence, couples/marriage counseling, and stress/life management. When working with clients she prefers a solution-focused and dynamic approach.

Over the course of her practice, she has presented to Quad City area groups on such topics as “Changing Families”, “Mental Health First Aid”, and an assortment of topics related to parenting and childhood struggles.  She is currently accepting adult, couple, and child therapy clients.
